2013 Tennessee Aviation Maintenance
Technician of the Year Award Nomination Form
You have the option of either (A) printing, completing, and mailing/faxing the nomination form to the Conference Committee or (B) completing the nomination form online. The mailing address for Option A is included on the nomination form available here. The online form for Option B is automatically emailed to the Conference Committee and requires no additional action.
PURPOSE
To publicly recognize those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development, advancement, or promotion of aircraft maintenance issues, education, and safety of flight in the Great State of Tennessee.
AWARD PRESENTATION
The candidate selected as the Tennessee Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year will be recognized at the 47th Annual Tennessee Mid-South Aviation Maintenance Conference in March 2013 in Nashville, TN.
NOMINATION CRITERIA
- Nominees must be legal residents of the State of Tennessee for at least one (1) year prior to their nomination
- Nominees must have made a noteworthy achievement in aircraft maintenance, training, education, operations, inspection procedures, airworthiness, occupational safety and health, safety of flight, or other aviation related issues worthy of recognition
- Nominees should possess a high degree of professionalism and technical proficiency in the activity for which they are being cited
- Nominees must be an active certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician under FAR Part 65, or an Avionics Technician actively employed by an FAA Approved Repair Station certified under FAR Part 145.
- Nominees must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the aviation industry

Nomination must be received no later than January 15, 2013
WHO MAY NOMINATE
Eligible candidates may submit their own applications or be nominated by another individual. A minimum of two (2) references are required for all nominations.
ELECTION PROCEDURES
The Nominations Committee shall select up to a maximum of eight (8) potential candidates for consideration. Nominees shall be judged on the basis of specific accomplishments and sustained superior performance in their fields. All applications, along with attached materials, become the property of the Selection Committee and will not be returned.
